Sindh Governor-designate Imran Ismail ‘denied access’ to Quaid’s mausoleum

He was stopped for carrying an excessive number of people along with him

Karachi (Pakistan Point News – 14th August, 2018) Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) Governor-designate for Sindh, Imran Ismail was barred from entering Quaid’s mausoleum this morning.

Authorities said that he was stopped for carrying an excessive number of people along with him, media reports said.

Following the incident, Imran Ismail took to Twitter and said, “We were denied access to Mazar e Quaid today for Fatiha, while PPP delegation led by CM to be was allowed & accompanied by Commissioner khi. With full CM Protocol.”

He also posted a picture offering Fateha at the gate of the mausoleum after being restricted to enter.

The nation is celebrating its 71 years of independence today and political leaders and important figures pay visits to Mazar-e-Quaid in Karachi to pay homage to the founding father.
