Shehzad Roy discusses educational reforms with Imran Khan
Islamabad (Pakistan Point News – 11th August, 2018) Renowned Pakistani singer Shehzad Roy called on incoming Prime Minister Imran Khan yesterday.
Sharing a picture with Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan on his Twitter handle, the singer said that he just met PM-elect Imran Khan.
The two discussed educational reforms among other things. Shehzad Roy was hopeful that change is on the horizon as Imran Khan said ‘it’s about time’.
"Just met Khan Sahab, Prime Minister elect. While discussing other things , we discussed education reforms. He said “it’s about time”. I have a reason to believe that change is on the horizon," he wrote.
The 41-year-old singer is the president and founder of Zindagi Trust, an NGO that strives to improve the quality of education available to the average Pakistani. He has also received Tamgha-i-Imtiaz for his services.
Shehzad Roy is is often seen extending support to the PTI chairman while he has performed at most of Imran Khan's political gatherings as well.
