Mainly hot and humid weather is expected in most parts of the country during next 24 hours while rain-thundershower with gusty winds are likely at isolated places in Punjab, Khaber Pakhunkhwa, Balochistan and Kashmir.

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 10th Aug, 2018 ) :Mainly hot and humid weather is expected in most parts of the country during next 24 hours while rain-thundershower with gusty winds are likely at isolated places in Punjab, Khaber Pakhunkhwa, Balochistan and Kashmir.

Rainfall is forecast in Punjab at Rawalpindi and Gujranwala, in Khaber Pakhunkhwa at Malakand, Hazara and Mardan, in Balochistan at Zhob divisions and Kashmir during this time span.

Seasonal low lies over northwest Balochistan. Weak monsoon currents are reaching upper and central parts of the country, an official of Met office told APP on Friday.

In last 24 hours, weather remained hot and humid in most parts of the country. However, rain-thundershower with gusty winds occurred at isolated places in Rawalpindi, Lahore, Multan, Bahawalpur, Hazara, Hyderabad, Thatta, Quetta, Kalat, Zhob divisions, Islamabad, Gilgit Baltistan and Kashmir.

Rainfall recorded during this time duration was: Punjab: Bahawalpur (A/P 52mm, City 10mm), Muree 12mm, Kasur 05mm, Islamabad (Saidpur) 04mm, Multan 01mm, Kashmir: Muzaffarabad 09 mm, Garhi Dupatta 06mm, Balochistan: Barkhan 06 mm, Zhob 03 mm, Khuzdar 02 mm KP: Kakul 02 mm,. GB: Bunji 01mm and Sindh: Chhor, Badin 01mm.

Maximum temperatures recorded on Friday were: Nokkundi and Dalbandin 44'C, Peshawar 37'C, Faisalabad, Multan, Chitral 36'C Lahore, Quetta, Muzaffarabad 35'C, Islamabad 34'C, Karachi, Hyderabad 33'C, Gilgit 32'C and Murree 23'C.
