These little girls in Islamabad have opened food stall to generate fund for dams

The sisters had earned Rs 52,000 from the stall.

Islamabad (Pakistan Point News – 10th August, 2018) Two sisters belonging to Islamabad have adopted a new way to generate funds for the construction of Diamer Basha and Mohmand Dam.

These young girls Zenia and Zunaira opened a food stall outside their house and will deposit the money generated through it in the dams fund. Ten-year-old Zenia and eight-year-old Zunaira will make this unique donation to the dams fund.

Speaking on the occasion, Zenia said that they had first discussed the idea with their mother Hira Yasir. Their mother not only encouraged them to open this stall but also helped her daughters.

Lemonade was also available on the stall. What’s remarkable here is that the sisters had earned Rs 52,000 from the stall.

The father of the girls said that water shortage is a serious issue and we need to spread awareness about it.

The dams fund was started by Chief Justice Mian Saqib Nisar for the construction of Daimer Basha and Mohmand Dam.The fund has been established by the SBP on the directions of the Supreme Court. The fund may receive donations from both domestic, international donors and contributions from abroad which will be received at all branches of above mentioned banks where such branches exist.
