The PTI has been formally nominated Imran Khan for the post of prime minister
Islamabad (Pakistan Point News – 6th August, 2018) The PTI held a parliamentary meeting today, being attended by all newly-elected MNAs and senators belonging to the party.
The PTI has formally nominated party chairman Imran Khan for the post of prime minister after the meeting.
According to media reports, Imran Khan has decided to appear before the people every week after becoming the prime minister. He will answer the questions of people as prime minister every week for an hour.
The PTI chairman said that he will make his ministers answerable to the people. Addressing the party leaders, he said that you are the guardian of public money. You have to save public money so it can be spent on the welfare of people.
He went on to say that we will continue to work on the manifesto people voted us for. We will not deviate from our objectives, he added.
Sources said that the party has finalized Shah Mehmood Qureshi’s name for the speaker of National Assembly. Imran Khan made him agree to the position, sources said. Moreover, sources said that Imran Ismail is likely to be announced Sindh governor during the meeting.
