Islamabad (Pakistan Point News – 6th August, 2018) The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has finalized Shah Mehmood Qureshi’s name for National Assembly speaker while the party has nominated Imran Khan for the prime minister.
The PTI is holding a parliamentary meeting today, being attended by all newly-elected MNAs and senators belonging to the party. Imran Khan left for a local hotel from his Bani Gala residence a while ago to attend the meeting.
The PTI will formally nominate party chairman Imran Khan for the post of prime minister after the meeting.
Sources said that the party has finalized Shah Mehmood Qureshi’s name for the speaker of National Assembly. Imran Khan made him agree to the position, sources said.
Moreover, sources said that Imran Ismail is likely to be announced Sindh governor during the meeting.
PTI spokesperson Naeemul Haque earlier said in his tweet that Imran Khan will meet all NA members of the party today, followed by PTI's members from the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab assemblies on the following two days.
