In Indian occupied Kashmir, protests erupted in Hernag area of Islamabad district on Wednesday against the brutal torture of Indian troops on a civilian.
ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 1st Aug, 2018 ) :In Indian occupied Kashmir, protests erupted in Hernag area of Islamabad district on Wednesday against the brutal torture of Indian troops on a civilian.
According to Kashmir Media Service, people took to streets and staged a protest against the Indian troops, who subjected a civilian, driver by profession, to ruthless torture on the old highway in Hernag area.The troops fired bullets and teargas shells on the protesters, which triggered clashes between the Indian soldiers and demonstrators in the area.
Meanwhile, the students of various schools in Kangan staged a demonstration against dearth of public transport facility in the area.
The students blocked the busy Srinagar-Leh highway at Sumbal Bala Gund to demand regular and timely transportation facilities.
On the other hand, hundreds of people took part in the last rites of a martyred youth in Barzulla area of Srinagar, Wednesday. The mortal remains of the youth, Mudassir Ahmed Butt, were brought form Kupwara after a month of his killing in a fake encounter by Indian troops. Amid pro-freedom and anti-India slogans, his body was buried at his ancestral graveyard.
