Imran Khan’s oath-taking ceremony at public place conditioned to President’s approval

Imran Khan will take oath as prime minister on August 11.

Islamabad (Pakistan Point News – 31st July, 2018) Since Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan has won the general elections and is set to become the next prime minister of the country, Khan himself and his supporters want him to take oath in a public setting.

Imran Khan has said that he will take oath as prime minister on August 11.

Islamabad’s D-Chowk is being considered as a venue to hold the oath-taking ceremony of the next prime minister of the country.

However, this wish of Imran Khan is conditioned to permission from President Mamnoon Hussain. A public oath ceremony can only be held after permission from the President House.

Media reports said that a request in this regard has been forwarded to the President Office. After the president’s permission, the cabinet division will direct the interior ministry to make arrangements.

Moreover, security clearance from the security agencies can also create a hurdle in holding the oath-taking ceremony at a public place.
