Omer Ayub Khan Secures 516 Postal Ballots From NA-17 Haripur

PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 29th Jul, 2018 ) :Postal ballot counting for NA-17 Haripur on Sunday has been completed where the winning candidate of PTI Omer Ayub Khan secured 516 votes.

According to the details, the counting process of postal ballots has been completed in the court of Returning Officer (RO) Faheem Afzal while PTI winning candidate Omer Ayub Khan got 516 votes, the PML-N runner up candidate Babar Nawaz Khan secured 402 votes.

137 votes were also rejected while other candidates of the NA-17 including Shaista Naz of PPPP secured 4 votes, Pakistan Falah party candidate Qazi Atique got 1, Independent candidate Malik Shakeel 2, Independent candidate Habebullah Khan 1 and ANP candidate Irum Fatima and Zubair Tanoli of Tehrik-e-Labaik secured 25 votes.

At the occasion of counting of postal ballots, representatives of the both candidates, European Union (EU) Election Observer Christina and Hanno, Fafin representatives and media men were also present.

Prior to this result PTI candidate Omer Ayub Khan succeeded by securing 172609 vote and his rival candidate from PML-N Babar Nawaz Khan got 132000 votes, after the counting of postal ballot, Omer Ayub total number ofvotes increased to 173111.
