Bahawalpur (Pakistan Point News – 26th July, 2018) Pakistan Muslim League candidate Ehsan ul Haq has won PP-249 with 48393 votes. According to the results announced by Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP), Pakistan Muslim League candidate won in PP-249 Bahawalpur-V constituency with 48393 votes. In 2013 general elections, Independent candidate Sardar Nasrullah Khan Drishak was elected as Member Provincial Assembly (MPA) with 40136 votes. The second runner up was Pakistan Muslim League (N) candidate Sardar Muhammad Tariq Drishak who got 27054 votes.
At least 14 candidates from different political parties and independent candidates contested in PP-249. In 2013 elections, there were 177165 voters registered in PP-249, out of which 115000 votes were polled out. In 2013 elections, the voter turn-out from this constituency was recorded as 63.9 %.
