Islamabad (Pakistan Point News – 25th July, 2018) Many of the Pakistani celebrities are in Toronto, Canada for the rehearsals of Hum Awards 2018.

While many celebrities are making their way to the polling stations to vote for their favourite candidates, some are outside of the country because of work commitments.
As these celebrities came under fire for not participating the voting process of general elections, actress Mahira Khan expressed regret that she is not able to cast her vote in Pakistan.
In an Instagram post, Mahira said that it is unfortunate that she cannot be in Pakistan as she cannot delay her work commitment despite trying.
The actress however urged fellow Pakistanis to use their right to vote. She also hinted her support to the PTI and Imran Khan with #NayaPakistan
“As much as I want to be there tomorrow, it is unfortunate that I can not be. There was absolutely no way to delay my work commitment which was scheduled months in advance, I tried my best. And so with a heavy heart I will not be voting this year. I urge all of you to get out and vote!! May this year bring the change we all have been waiting to see. InshAllah. Pakistan zindabad!!! #nayapakistan🇵🇰” she wrote on her account.
