Islamabad, (Pakistan Point News - 18th Jul, 2018) : Power companies all across the country have proposed a hike of 70 paisa per unit in electricity prices, under fuel adjustment charges in June. The request states that the electricity used in the month of July was produced 70 paisa costly per unit as compared to the provided tariff and has been submitted by the companies in National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (Nepra). Hearing of this request is scheduled to be held on July 24 and in case of Nepra's approval, the decision will not be applicable on K-Electric consumers and those utilizing monthly 300 units. Experts says that the electricity prices will possibly go up further due to the increase in crude oil prices in international market and hike in Dollar price.
