Medical tourism in Abu Dhabi a goal on the road to reality: DoH

In another step on the road to promoting medical tourism in Abu Dhabi and as part of its efforts to enhance the standards of quality of care, Department of Health - Abu Dhabi, DoH, the regulator of the healthcare sector in the emirate, has urged all healthcare providers in Abu Dhabi to document medical tourism patients’ records using its "Shafafiya" e-portal, effective as of September 2018.

ABU DHABI, (Pakistan Point News - 17th Jul, 2018) In another step on the road to promoting medical tourism in Abu Dhabi and as part of its efforts to enhance the standards of quality of care, Department of Health - Abu Dhabi, DoH, the regulator of the healthcare sector in the emirate, has urged all healthcare providers in Abu Dhabi to document medical tourism patients’ records using its "Shafafiya" e-portal, effective as of September 2018.

The portal will ease the record of all medical tourism patients’ medical information including diagnosis, clinical signs, year of initial diagnosis and presence on admission regardless of their insurance coverage.
