Houthi militia tampers with Yemen's capabilities, marginalises various society segments: Colonel Al-Maliki

Spokesman of Coalition Forces Colonel Turki Al-Maliki stressed that Iran-backed Houthi militia has tampered with the capabilities of the Yemeni state, and marginalised all segments of the society.

RIYADH, (Pakistan Point News - 17th Jul, 2018) Spokesman of Coalition Forces Colonel Turki Al-Maliki stressed that Iran-backed Houthi militia has tampered with the capabilities of the Yemeni state, and marginalised all segments of the society.

This came during a press conference held by Colonel Al-Maliki at the Armed Forces Club in Riyadh, which was attended by a number of Sheiks (tribal leaders) of Saada tribes.

Colonel Al-Maliki said that everyone observes the violations committed by Houthi militias every day against the Yemeni people, adding that there is a public rejection of the sabotage and sectarian acts being committed by Houthi militias.

On the political aspect, Col. Al-Maliki lauded the call by the Yemeni Prime Minister, Dr. Ahmed Obaid bin Dhugr, to give the political efforts great priority to achieve peace and peaceful transition of power in Yemen, the Coalition Forces position in support of this call, and the rejection of the Yemeni government to the intervention of terrorist Hezbollah of Lebanon in support of the Houthis in Yemen.

On the humanitarian situation, he said as many as 22 relief inlets are still functioning with the number of permits issued by the Coalition since 26 March 2015 to 16 July 2018 reached 27471 through air, land and sea inlets.

He said three ballistic missiles were launched from inside Yemen (Saada) between 9 to 16 July 2018 bringing to 161 the number of ballistic missiles and 66339 the number of projectiles launched towards the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia by the Iran-backed Houthi militias.

He added that the losses of the Houthi militias amounted to 247 including sites, weapons and equipment with 703 Houthi militias killed in action.
