Chairman WAPDA Congratulates Weightlifter Nooh Dastgir

Chairman Pakistan Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA) and Patron-in-Chief WAPDA Sports Board, Lt Gen Muzammil Hussain (Retd) and other office-bearers Monday congratulated Nooh Dastgir for winning title in the Junior World Weightlifting Championship held at Tashkent, Uzbekistan.
MIRPUR (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th Jul, 2018 ) ,:Chairman Pakistan Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA) and Patron-in-Chief WAPDA sports board, Lt Gen Muzammil Hussain (Retd) and other office-bearers Monday congratulated Nooh Dastgir for winning title in the Junior World Weightlifting Championship held at Tashkent, Uzbekistan.
As per details, Nooh Dastgir lifted 228 Kilogram (Kg) weight in Clean and Jurk Category followed by Iranian Weightlifter at 227 Kg for 2nd position and Armanian at 222 Kg for 3rd position and become first ever Pakistani who won Gold Medal at World Junior Weightlifting Championship, Sources told APP here on Monday.
In snatch category Nooh Dastgir grabbed bronze medal by lifting 171 kg weight and stood at third position. He performed his best which led him to beg another bronze medal for his best performance in all over Championship.
Prior to this event, Nooh Dastgir has also showed the outclass performance in the 21st Commonwealth Games held in Gold Coast, Australia earlier this year in which he won bronzemedal for Pakistan.
