Heavy Downpour Triggers Flash Floods In Hazara

Heavy rains and thunderstorm on Thursday triggered flash flood in most parts of in Hazara Division including Abbottabad, Haripur, Battagram and Mansehra districts.
ABBOTTABAD,(UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 12th Jul, 2018 ) :Heavy rains and thunderstorm on Thursday triggered flash flood in most parts of in Hazara Division including Abbottabad, Haripur, Battagram and Mansehra districts.
Heavy rain followed by thunderstorm that hit most parts of Hazara interrupted electricity transmission lines badly damaging telecommunication system. Flood water hit Karakoram Highway (KKH) at various places of Abbottabad and Mansehra districts. Several link roads all over Hazara Division were also affected by flash floods and land sliding.
Road blockages and traffic jams were also witnessed for hours in Abbottabad, Mansehra, and Battagram.
In Abbottabad filth from choked sewerage system entered homes in various residential areas after heavy rain. A school building in Beerangali and road connecting Beeranglai and Phalkot also damaged by heavy rain. Connecting roads in Galyat, Thandiani, Mansehra, Battagram and Kaghan Valley have also been destroyed by the heavy rain, land sliding and floods.
Windstorm also damaged houses In Mansehra where various structures collapsed due to heavy rain however no loss of life and causality reported in these incidents.
