Deputy Commissioner Swat Saqib Raza Aslam Asks Non Government Organizations (NGOs) To Share Its Welfare, Developmental Plans

Deputy Commissioner Swat Saqib Raza Aslam asked the Non Government Organizations (NGOs) to compulsorily share its welfare and developmental plans with district administration so that it could be included in the progress strategy.

PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 11th Jul, 2018 ) :Deputy Commissioner Swat Saqib Raza Aslam asked the Non Government Organizations (NGOs) to compulsorily share its welfare and developmental plans with district administration so that it could be included in the progress strategy.

He however made clear that only registered NGOs would be allowed to carry out welfare activities whereas timely and quality completion of schemes must be ensured for its public utility and benefits.

He said this after briefing of welfare activities undertaken by NGO Qatar Charity during his meeting with its Program Coordinator Muhammad Saqib at Saidu Sharif, Swat on Wednesday.

Saqib Raza Aslam lauded the welfare acts of Qatar Charity in WASH, social protection, income generation, education and cultural support for the poor segments of society. He especially mentioned its relief support to floods and earthquake affectees in the past along the district administration.

He expressed hoped that the drinking water and wash schemes as well as rehabilitation programs of orphan children and disables would greatly contribute in enhancing welfare activities of the government at communities level.

Deputy Commissioner Swat said such welfare schemes also enable the provincial government and district administration to pool up its meager resources for mega developmental schemes in the different parts of the Province. He asked the concerned authorities for expedited issuance of NOCs to NGOs for its new welfare schemes.

Program Coordinator Qatar Charity assured full cooperation and close coordination with the districtadministration in pursuing its developmental programs on behalf of the NGOs. He further assured timely completion of the welfare projects and inaugurating it after inspection of the nominated authorities of district administration.
