Oxfam To Launch "She Can Lead" Campaign On July 12

Oxfam would organize a 'People's Assembly for creating an inclusive democracy' followed by the launch of the She Can Lead'' campaign from July 12 on Thursday.
ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 11th Jul, 2018 ) :Oxfam would organize a 'People's Assembly for creating an inclusive democracy' followed by the launch of the She Can Lead'' campaign from July 12 on Thursday.
Oxfam Australia Executive Director Dr Helen Szoke and Australian High Commissioner will be attending the event, said a press release.
The event is being organized under Oxfam's "She Can Lead" project which aims to promote a gender-sensitive electoral process and women's political participation voters and candidates in the context of approaching general elections.
The people's assembly is being organized in collaboration with Bedari and Omar Asghar Khan Foundation. Participants will be highlighting gaps and trends in the current electoral processes while community members from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab will share their recommendations for creating an inclusive democracy.
The Assembly will be followed by the inauguration of the "She Can Lead" rickshaw campaign and guests will be invited to take a ride in the rikshaws bearing messages calling for women's meaningful participation in the democratic process.
