27 government entities showcase achievements at 2018 International Esri User Conference

ABU DHABI, (Pakistan Point News - 10th Jul, 2018) Twenty-seven government entities and companies of Abu Dhabi are participating at the "2018 International Esri User Conference," the world's most important event for geographic information systems, GIS, organised by the Environmental Systems Research Institute, Esri, in San Diego, California.

The Abu Dhabi Smart Systems and Services Authority, ADSSSA, the government entity overseeing the ICT agenda in the UAE capital, organised and managed the government entities’ participation, reflecting Abu Dhabi’s leading role in the digital transformation process, which will enable the various entities to provide integrated and comprehensive services, as well as enhance the business environment and increase customer satisfaction and happiness.

In line with the conference’s agenda, Dr. Rauda Saeed Al Saadi, Director-General of ADSSSA, showcased Abu Dhabi’s comprehensiveness in the field of GIS, which the authority has been working on, in collaboration with all the government entities. ADSSSA also allowed these entities to use GIS to develop businesses, services and the decision-making process in various sectors, which helped in offering services and projects with high standards of quality and accuracy of geospatial data.

In the same context, Al Saadi showcased "TAMM" system as one of the achieved models of the integration between geographic data systems and the field of government services one of the vital areas of business and the integrated customer experience. This comes in line with the Abu Dhabi vision to provide the new generation of government services under the concept of "integrated journey" by employing innovative technologies of government services and GIS in order to provide efficient, fast and proactive services to enrich the customer experience.

Al Saadi praised all government entities participating in the "2018 International Esri User Conference," which falls in line with Abu Dhabi’s aspirations to enhance cooperation among various entities involved in the field of GIS.

The authority is showcasing the Abu Dhabi Spatial Data Infrastructure, a project which facilitates the sharing and exchanging of geospatial data among government entities in various sectors using innovative solutions and technologies to enrich the customer's experience through the provided services by the government entities, such as "Moving to New Home" journey, which allows users to find an ideal location based on their preferences such as proximity to facilities, schools and commercial centres.

The participating government entities this year include National Petroleum Construction Company, Abu Dhabi General Services, Musanada, United Arab Emirates University, Environment Agency Abu Dhabi, Abu Dhabi Sewerage Services Company, Etihad Rail, Abu Dhabi City Municipality, Al Ain City Municipality, Al Dhafra Region Municipality, Department of Urban Planning and Municipalities, Smart Solutions and Services Authority, ADNOC Onshore, ADNOC Sour Gas, Department of Energy, Al Ain Distribution Company, Abu Dhabi Transmission and Despatch Company, Abu Dhabi Distribution Company, The General Authority for the Security of Ports, Borders and Free Zones, The General Command of Abu Dhabi Police, Department of Economic Development Abu Dhabi, Abu Dhabi food Control Authority, National Search and Rescue Centre, Department of Transport, Ministry of Interior, Etisalat and the National Crisis and Emergency Management Authority.
