It Is Players' Responsibility To Produce Good Results: PHF

ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 10th Jul, 2018 ) :Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF), President, Brig (R) Khalid Sajjad Khokhar, Tuesday said it is players' responsibility to produce good results on the field and not of the federation.
"The federation's job is to provide best facilities to players' but it is players' responsibility to produce good results on the field," he said while talking to media here.
He said there is no corruption in PHF and the government's nominated audit team is conducting PHF's audit whose report will come out on July 24. "I am trying my level best to take former Olympians and players together on one page," he said.
He said we are focusing on to promote hockey from grass-root level from schools therefore we are holding under-16 hockey tournament to bring talent to fore.
"Many junior players have come forward through this initiative and we have a lot of talented junior players today," he said.
Khokhar said currently our main focus is to perform extraordinarily well in Asian Games to take place in Jakarta from August 18 to September 2.
Speaking about the revival of international hockey in the country, he said World Eleven hockey team visited Pakistan this year in January and now Pakistan will be hosting a six-nation international hockey tournament in the first week of September in Rawalpindi.
�"The foreign teams to participate in the tournament include hosts Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Kazakhstan, Oman, Qatar and Sri Lanka," he said.
