Selfie Craze: Two Girls Fall In Upper Chenab Canal

Both the girls had come from Mian Chunnu to attend a wedding in Gujranwala.  

Gujranwala (Pakistan Point News – 9th July, 2018) The selfie craze put the lives of two girls in Gujranwala as they fell in Upper Chenab Canal while taking a selfie on Monday.

According to details, the girls slipped and fell into the canal as they attempted to take a selfie.

The rescue teams immediately reached the site of the incident upon receiving the information.

According to rescue sources, the locals recovered one girl from the canal and saved her while rescue operation is underway to recover 16-year-old Mubashra.

Both the girls had come from Mian Chunnu to attend a wedding in Gujranwala.

Earlier, a young tourist from Karachi drowned in the Swat River while attempting to take a selfie.

The 19-year-old youth was identified as Sheraz and a resident of Korangi. In an attempt to get closer to the river, he climbed onto a rock near Bagh Dherai. He was trying to take a picture there when he slipped on the wet surface and fell into the Swat river.

The dead body was recovered from Ningolai, Swat after a search of six hours.
