Coke Studio explores Baloch throat-singing talent with ‘Naseebaya’

'Naseebaya' takes one to the depths of Balochistan to experience the little known art of 'Nur Sur'

Lahore (Pakistan Point News – 7th July, 2018) Coke Studio Explorer continues to impress us as it discovers the hidden music talent from all the four provinces of the country.

The latest episode takes one to the depths of Balochistan to experience the little known art of 'Nur Sur' (throat singing) through ‘Naseebaya’.

The latest track ‘Naseebaya’ is a Balochi riff harmonized with modern electronic sounds that allow a peaceful combination between the art of ‘Nar Sur’ and urban-electronica. Nar Sur is throat singing which is a lost talent in Pakistan.

The producers of Coke Studio Explorer, Zohaib Kazi and Ali Hamza, have certainly done a great job in bringing it back while Mangal, Darehan and Shayan are gifted vocalists.
