Zayed University, ZU, has adopted three major growth plans to promote an entrepreneurial mindset among its graduates and encourage them to take their opportunities, said Sheikha Lubna bint Khalid Al Qassimi, President of ZU, during her participation in an education and leaders workshop, titled, "Transmitting the Entrepreneurship Spirit," which was held as part of the "General Assembly of Entrepreneurs’ International Conference" in Essaouira, Morocco.

ESSAOUIRA, (Pakistan Point News - 06th Jul, 2018) Zayed University, ZU, has adopted three major growth plans to promote an entrepreneurial mindset among its graduates and encourage them to take their opportunities, said Sheikha Lubna bint Khalid Al Qassimi, President of ZU, during her participation in an education and leaders workshop, titled, "Transmitting the Entrepreneurship Spirit," which was held as part of the "General Assembly of Entrepreneurs’ International Conference" in Essaouira, Morocco.

"These plans involve conducting entrepreneurial research, publishing academic work in leading journals and encouraging policy research that will support the UAE National Agenda, as well as upgrading curriculums and executive education related to entrepreneurship, to integrate leadership and brand equity through prestigious international partnerships, along with updating ZU’s communication strategy to inform the entrepreneurial community that the university is a centre of education, research and knowledge related to entrepreneurship," Sheikha Lubna explained.

"This strategy will provide the next generation of graduates with an entrepreneurial flair and growth mindset while further supporting the Emiratisation movement. It will also provide critical entrepreneurial leadership training on succession planning to family businesses and inspire the creation of new start-ups and social enterprises, which will help create entrepreneurial leaders within government departments," she stated.

Sheikha Lubna added that ZU is currently developing an "Innovation and Entrepreneurship Centre, which will organise a series of integrated projects that aim to develop, stimulate and ingrain an entrepreneurial mindset among students. "The new centre will help prepare students who wish to start a new business and share and integrate the latest entrepreneurship tools and projects with industry partners," she further added.

"ZU will conduct cutting-edge research dedicated to entrepreneurship and innovation and encourage inter-disciplinary collaborations," she noted.

"Undergraduates at ZU can also join relevant extracurricular activities, and the university will launch a new series of related programmes, training courses, boot camps, competitions, mentoring sessions, seminars, pitches, collider sprints, and talks by speakers and international experts," Sheikha Lubna said in conclusion.
