A delegation from the Emirates Red Crescent and the Governor of Hadramaut, Major General Faraj Salmin Al-Bassani, have visited the Sheikh Khalifa Residential City in Mukalla, Yemen. The residential city is being built to shelter victims of the rain and flood that devastated Mukalla in 2008.
MUKALLA, Yemen, (Pakistan Point News - 05th Jul, 2018) A delegation from the Emirates Red Crescent and the Governor of Hadramaut, Major General Faraj Salmin Al-Bassani, have visited the Sheikh Khalifa Residential City in Mukalla, Yemen. The residential city is being built to shelter victims of the rain and flood that devastated Mukalla in 2008.
During the visit, the delegation inspected the city, its connecting roads, as well as its water supply and sewerage project.
The Governor of Hadramaut stressed the need to finalise work on the city so that the affected people can move in as soon as possible.
He also thanked the ERC for financing the supply and sewerage project, as part of the UAE's continuous support of Yemen across various sectors.
