AJMAN, (Pakistan Point News - 04th Jul, 2018) A delegation from the Ajman Department of Ports and Customs, led by Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Department, met with Sheikh Ahmed bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Chairman of Bahrain Customs, during its visit to Bahrain, which aims to promote joint action and the exchange of expertise.

The delegation was briefed on Bahrain Customs' accomplishments via an introductory film, as well as about customs-related developments in the kingdom, such as the launch of a customs clearance system for trucks and an electronic clearance system.

Al Nuaimi praised the achievements of Bahrain Customs and the outcomes of the visit, which will help reinforce the bilateral ties between the two countries. He said that during the visit the delegation assessed the customs systems in place in Bahrain and the initiatives that were launched to facilitate exports and imports, as well as the work and duties of the customs unit at the Khalifa bin Salma Port.

He added that the visit aims to showcase the programmes and systems of both customs departments, as well as to benefit from their expertise, initiatives and best practices.

During the visit, Al Nuaimi was accompanied by several customs officials.
