ACCI launches 2nd Ajman-Hunan Economic Forum

AJMAN, (Pakistan Point News - 01st Jul, 2018) The Ajman Chamber of Commerce and Industry, ACCI, has launched the 2nd Ajman-Hunan Economic Forum, in a bid to consolidate the current economic relations between the emirate and the Chinese province of Hunan, as well as to strengthen its cooperation with other countries.

The forum, which was held at the Fairmont Hotel in Ajman, was attended by Salem Al Suwaidi, Director-General of the ACCI, and Mohammed Al Janahi, Executive Director of the Investment and business Development Sector, as well as a delegation of senior officials from Hunan Province, representatives of government authorities and civil society organisations, along with businessmen and investors.

The forum aims to promote economic cooperation between Emirati and Chinese companies, through showcasing promising future economic opportunities available in Ajman.

The forum was launched by Al Suwaidi, who welcomed the delegation from Hunan Province and expressed his hope that their visit would strengthen the overall cooperation between the emirate and the province.

During the forum, representatives of the Municipality and Planning Department, the Department of Economic Development, the Tourism Development Department and the Ajman Police explained the positive aspects of the emirate’s economy, such as its attractive and diverse investment environment, which have enabled it to achieve many successes.

The Chinese delegation conducted a presentation about the economy of Hunan Province, which enjoys a strategic geographic location that has made it a centre of transformative industries and economic and technological development. Its economic and technological development zone, "Changsha," which was founded in 1992, houses many key industries, such as high-tech industries, biological technology industries and new material industries.
