Says Nawaz will return Pakistan but he has parted himself with general elections
Islamabad (Pakistan Point News – 26th June, 2018) The anchor of a tv show asked analyst Arif Nizami about the impression that Nawaz Sharif and Maryam Nawaz have struck a deal and will stay on in London.
“They will let Shehbaz Sharif contest elections. Not only this but Nawaz Sharif has also agreed to this. Is there really any deal?” he asked.
Arif Nizami responded that first, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PMLN) supremo Nawaz Sharif is disqualified for life. He can neither contest elections nor become a National Assembly member. Secondly, his daughter Maryam Nawaz is with her mother Kulsoom Nawaz who is battling between life and death. Elections are therefore not a priority for Nawaz and Maryam.
Nizami said that previously, the courts took decades to decide a case which is not happening now. Some cases are still under proceedings but the chief justice also does not pay attention to it.
The way Sharif family’s cases are being proceeded, Accountability Court seems like a summary court, he said.
“This is confirmed that there is no deal at the moment and Nawaz Sharif will definitely be sentenced in jail while his daughter Maryam Nawaz will also be treated the same way,” the analyst added.
As far as Nawaz Sharif’s return is concerned, he will come to Pakistan but this is true that he has parted himself with general elections 2018. Terming it as a deal would be before time, Nizami said.
