Captain killed as PAF training aircraft crashes at Bacha Khan Airport

The aircraft was taking off from the runway of the airport when it crashed

Peshawar (Pakistan Point News – 26th June, 2018) A Pakistan Air Force (PAF) captain was killed as a training aircraft crash landed at Bacha Khan Airport in Peshawar on Tuesday.

According to media sources, a training aircraft crashed at Bacha Khan Airport as it was taking off from the runway of the airport due to a techincal fault. The captain of the plane was killed in the crash.

The flight operations have temporarily been suspended at the airport.

Earlier in the month, at least six people were been injured as an Army helicopter crash landed in Quetta. According to media reports, the helicopter was coming from Kohlu to Quetta when it crashed near Eastern Bypass Industrial area of Quetta.

Another training aircraft crashed and fell in Garden Town area of Lahore in May. According to reports, the training aircraft fell on the external wall of a house. Fire broke out as the plane fell on the ground.

Two persons, including a pilot were on board the plane. Flying Club Director Operations Faheem was flying the plane while trainee Amir was along him. The director operations said that the balance of the plane got disturbed after it took off, becoming the reason of the crash.
