Yasir Hussain comes out in support of Pakistani films

Requests people to stop comparing Pakistani movies to those of Bollywood

Karachi (Pakistan Point News – 26th June, 2018) Actor Yasir Hussain has penned down an encouraging note for the Pakistani film industry and bashed those criticizing the movies released on Eid-ul-Fitr.

Sharing a piece of writing by Mushtaq Ahmad Yousufi that quoted Zameer Jafri against those lamenting a movie, Yasir said, “True, I never saw Salman Khan badmouthing about Akshay Kumar’s movies, neither did I saw Alya Bhatt saying about Deepika Padukone’s movie that all the films releasing on Eid are a waste of time.”

When you work in the same industry you should not do that. We actors, directors, technicians are working really hard to make a place called Pakistani film industry without any support,” he said.

About comparing Pakistani movies to those of Bollywood, the actor said, “Please stop comparing our films with Bollywood. They have been making movies for 100 years. Only 5 out of the 1000 movies they make are good.”

He requested the actors whose films weren’t a hit or they didn’t get to work in a film to stop saying bad stuff about Azaadi, 7 Din Mohabbat In, Wajood and Na Band Na Baraati.

On Eid-ul-Fitr, four Pakistani movies were released, including Mahira Khan starrer 7 Din Mohabbat In, Moammar Rana and Sonya Hussain’s Azaadi, Na Band Na Baraati and Wajood.

Many people criticized the movies, saying that they were a waste of time and Pakistani cinema needs to do better. Yasir Hussain has however silenced all the critics of Pakistani film industry.
