London, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 23rd Jun, 2018 ) :Arthur Kitt who nearly died at birth produced one of the fairytale wins of this year's Royal Ascot landing the Chesham Stakes on the final day of the world's greatest racing carnival.

The Tom Dascombe-trained two-year-old had to be resuscitated six times when he was born -- his dam (mother) Ceiling Kitty having to be put down.

Ceiling Kitty had also experienced the glory of winning at the Royal meeting having collected the Queen Mary Stakes in 2012 and the same team were present six years on to repeat the feat with her son.

"This is the most emotional attachment I have had with any horse," said owner and breeder Andrew Black.

"We always thought he would be special and we would make it right somehow," added Black, who founded the world's first and largest betting exchange Betfair.

Jockey Richard Kingscote, known as the 'tattoo jockey' as his body is covered with tattoos, said it was a special moment.

"The horse means a lot to Mr Black and indeed to all of us," said Kingscote, who last won at Royal Ascot on Anecdote in 2013.

"He (Arthur Kitt) is the last one in this line and he has made it a very special day.

"His mum would be very proud of him.
