Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal's President To Face Young Blood As Challengers In General Polls From NA-38-39 DI Khan

The senior politician, President of Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal (MMA) and JUIF chief Maulana Fazl ur Rehman who is flexing muscles to contest general election from NA-38 and 39 DI Khan would have to face tough challenge against PTI's young leader Ali Amin Gandapur and PPP Faisal Khan Kundi, while former Senator Waqar Khan is also in the run.
DIKHAN, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 22nd Jun, 2018 ) :The senior politician, President of Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal (MMA) and JUIF chief Maulana Fazl ur Rehman who is flexing muscles to contest general election from NA-38 and 39 DI Khan would have to face tough challenge against PTI's young leader Ali Amin Gandapur and PPP Faisal Khan Kundi, while former Senator Waqar Khan is also in the run.
A major contest for two National Assembly and five PK seats from DI Khan would be observed during the upcoming general election among MMA President Maulana Fazl ur Rehman, PPP Faisal Karim Kundi, PTI Ali Amin Gandapur and former Senator Waqar Ahmed Khan.
The papers of as many as 120 candidates of various political parties and independent have so far accepted for two NA-38 and NA-39 and five PK seats from the district, provincial election commissioner informed.
Born in 1953, Maulana Fazl ur Rehman was son of Mufti Mahmud who won election against PPP leader Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto in 1970 from DI Khan.
As religious leader, Maulan Fazl ur Rehman was respected and elected to National assembly from DI Khan several times, from 1988 to 2018. He remained leader of opposition in national assembly from 2004 to 2007. Rehman lost election to National Assembly on MMA ticket from NA-24 DI Khan in 2008.
PPP leader Faisal Karim Kundi who had served as Deputy Speaker National Assembly from 2008 to 2013 was elected to NA in 2008 general polls.
He ran for the seat of NA from NA-24 DIKhan as independent candidate in 2013 but remained unsuccessful.
PTI's Ali Amin Gandapur who served as a MPA of 10th KP Assembly was contesting for NA seat for the first time in 2018 general elections against strong candidates of PPP and MMA leaders.
Former PPP leader and Senator Waqar Ahmed Khan is mulling to contest general elections from NA-38 and 39 DI Khan in 2018 general elections as an independent candidate.
A total 43 candidates have submitted their nomination papers for NA-38 and NA-39 where nomination paper of one Akram Rasti was rejected while rest were accepted.
Former Senator Waqar Ahmed Khan, PPP leader and former Deputy Speaker National Assembly Faisal Karim Kundi, JUIF Fazl ur Rehman, PTI Ali Amin Gandapur, Muhammad Naeem Khan, Syed Hussain, Ahmed Kundi, Muhammad Ali Raza, Daud Khan Kundi, Hafizullah, Azid Nawaz, Syed Asad Ali Shah, Muhammad Zubair and Sirj ud Din have submitted their papers to Returning Officer of NA-38 Syed Arif Shah.
Sheikh Muhammad Yaqub, Sardar Norang Khan Gandapur, Waqar Ahmed Khan, Faisal Karim Kundi, Muhammad Amir, M Aftab Inayat, Obaid ur Rehman, Muhammad Maqbool, Irfanullah Khan, Omar Farooq Miankhel, Qizr Miankhel, Asmatullah, Akbar Khan, JUIF Fazl ur Rehman and Ehteshamullah submitted their papers to Returning Officer of NA-39 Shakirullah Khan.
For PK-95 Paharpur Naeem Mansoori, Makhdoom Mujtaba ul Hassan, Makhdom Murid Kazim, Ehtesham Javed, Noman Akbar, Sulman Akbar and Makhdom Aftab Shah submitted their nomination papers to RO Syed Abbas Bukhari, Similarly, Haleem Qasuri, Tahir Wasim, Sherullah, Ahmed Kundi, Faisal Kundi, Arshadullah, Samiullah, Gul Malook, Gul Din, Rehan Malik, Shahjahan, Muhammad Wasim, Hafizullah, Noor Sath Khan, Najibullah Khan and Muhammad Shafiq ul Haq submitted their papers for PK-96 City-II to RO Khurram Shahzad.
For PK-97 City I Malik Qayum Nawaz, Azid Nawaz, Mushtaq Ahmed, Obaidur Rehman, Ali Amin and others submitted papers to RO Israr Shah, while for PK-98 Parwa, Mufti Fazl ur Rehman, Omar Farooq, Khalid Salim Khan Ostaran, Syed Ahmed Mushtaq and others submitted their papers.
For PK-99 Kulachi, Ikram Khan Gandupur, Sardar Akbar Khan, Omar Farooq, Daud Khan and others had submitted their papers.
