Scrutiny completed in Faisalabad, 779 nomination papers accepted, 59 rejected

Scrutiny process of nomination papers filed by the candidates of various political parties including PML-N, PTI, PPP to contest general election 2018 from Faisalabad district has been completed on Tuesday.

FAISALABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 20th Jun, 2018 ) :Scrutiny process of nomination papers filed by the candidates of various political parties including PML-N, PTI, PPP to contest general election 2018 from Faisalabad district has been completed on Tuesday.

According to District Election Commissioner-I Faisalabad Ali Abdullah Khalid, total 838 candidates filed their nomination papers to contest general election 2018 from 10 National Assembly (NA) and 21 Punjab Province (PP) Assembly seats of district Faisalabad. Out of them, 779 nomination papers were accepted and 59 papers were rejected.

Giving details, he said that 225 nomination papers were filed from 10 NA constituencies, out of which 209 papers were accepted while 16 papers were rejected.

Similarly, 613 nomination papers were filed from 21 PP Constituencies of the district, out of which 570 papers were accepted and 43 were rejected.

Giving further details, he said that 34 nomination papers were filed by the candidates from NA-101 (Faisalabad-I), out of which 33 papers were accepted and one paper was rejected.

From NA-102 (Faisalabad-II), 29 papers were filed, out of which 28 papers were accepted and one was rejected.

From NA-103 (Faisalabad-III), 22 papers were filed, out of which 21 were accepted and one was rejected.

From NA-104 (Faisalabad-IV), 23 papers were filed, out of which 21 were accepted and 2 were rejected.

From NA-105 (Faisalabad-V), 22 papers were filed and all papers were accepted from this constituency.

From NA-106 (Faisalabad-VI), 22 papers were filed, out of which 13 were accepted and 9 were rejected.

From NA-107 (Faisalabad-VII), 14 papers were filed, out of which 13 were accepted and one was rejected.

From NA-108 (Faisalabad-VIII), 16 papers were filed, out of which 15 were accepted and one was rejected.

Similarly, 20 papers were filed from NA-109 (Faisalabad-IX) and 23 papers from NA-110 (Faisalabad-X) and all papers were accepted from these two constituencies.

District Election Commissioner-1 further told that 22 papers were filed from PP-97 (Faisalabad-I), out of which 21 papers were accepted and one was rejected.

From PP-98 (Faisalabad-II), 34 papers were filed, out of which 33 papers were accepted and one was rejected.

From PP-99 (Faisalabad-III), 30 papers were filed, out of which 29 papers were accepted and one was rejected.

From PP-100 (Faisalabad-IV), 34 papers were filed, out of which 33 papers were accepted and one was rejected.

From PP-101 (Faisalabad-V), 26 papers were filed and all papers were accepted from this constituency.

From PP-102 (Faisalabad-VI), 42 papers were filed, out of which 34 papers were accepted and 8 were rejected.

From PP-103 (Faisalabad-VII), 19 papers were filed and all papers were accepted from this constituency.

From PP-104 (Faisalabad-VIII), 30 papers were filed, out of which 29 papers were accepted and one was rejected.

From PP-105 (Faisalabad-IX), 23 papers were filed, out of which 22 papers were accepted and one was rejected.

From PP-106 (Faisalabad-X), 30 papers were filed and all papers from this constituency were accepted.

From PP-107 (Faisalabad-XI), 33 papers were filed, out of which 31 papers were accepted and 2 were rejected.

From PP-108 (Faisalabad-XII), 16 papers were filed, out of which 15 papers were accepted and one was rejected.

From PP-109 (Faisalabad-XIII), 18 papers were filed, out of which 17 papers were accepted and one was rejected.

From PP-110 (Faisalabad-XIV), 27 papers were filed, out of which 24 papers were accepted and 3 were rejected.

From PP-111 (Faisalabad-XV), 38 papers were filed, out of which 35 papers were accepted and 3 were rejected.

From PP-112 (Faisalabad-XVI), 31 papers were filed, out of which 28 papers were accepted and 3 were rejected.

From PP-113 (Faisalabad-XVII), 23 papers were filed, out of which 22 papers were accepted and one was rejected.

From PP-114 (Faisalabad-XVIII), 28 papers were filed, out of which 27 papers were accepted and one was rejected.

From PP-115 (Faisalabad-XIX), 41 papers were filed, out of which 35 papers were accepted and 6 were rejected.

From PP-116 (Faisalabad-XX), 25 papers were filed, out of which 24 papers were accepted and one was rejected.

Similarly, 43 papers were filed from PP-117 (Faisalabad-XXI), out of which 36 papers were accepted and 7 were rejected.

The objections against acceptance and rejection of nomination papers will be received by June 22 and the same would be decided on June 27.

The provisional lists of contesting candidates would be released on June 28 and the candidates can withdraw their candidature up to June 29 and the final lists of the candidates would be displayed on the same day.

The election symbols would be allotted to the contesting candidates on June 30 and the polling will be held on July 25, 2018, he added.
