Pakistan Boxing Federation Not To Become Part Of Boxing League

Pakistan Boxing Federation has decided not to become part of any boxing league being organised here in near future.
LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th Jun, 2018 ) :Pakistan Boxing Federation has decided not to become part of any boxing league being organised here in near future.
This decision was taken on Monday at executive committee meeting of the PBF held under the chairmanship of its President Khalid Mehmood at Olympic House.
"In a resolution unanimously adopted by the Executive Committee of Pakistan Boxing Federation, the PBF will not become part of any event, including Super Boxing League, not organised under the statutes of AIBA and Constitution of Pakistan Boxing Federation", said President, PBF Khalid Mehmood while talking to APP after the meeting.
He said Pakistan Boxing Federation will promote and develop Boxing and protect the interests of pugilists and boxing in accordance with AIBA and PBF rules.
"All the events in Pakistan will be governed by AIBA Rules including but not limited to WADA rules, to protect our pugilists from scandalous and misleading elements who are only seeking financial and personal benefits instead of promotion of Boxing in Pakistan", he asserted.
