Welfare Of Martyrs' Heirs Duty Of Police Department: IGP

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th Jun, 2018 ) :Inspector General of Police (IGP) Punjab Syed Kaleem Imam has said that it is responsibility of the department to work for the welfare of the heirs of martyrs.
According to a press release issued here on Monday, the IGP expressed these views at Police Lines Qila Gujjar Singh here after offering Eid Namaz and visiting martyrs' memorials. He laid a wreath on the memorial of martyrs and offered Fateha.
He distributed Eidi among children of personnel and martyrs, besides attending a lunch arranged for the personnel and heirs of martyrs on this occasion.
IG Punjab was of the opinion that Punjab Police is like a family whose members share grief and happiness equally.
He said that all available resources of the department were being used for the welfare of the children and heris of the martyrs and for the education of the children of martyrs.
He reaffirmed that it is commitment of the department to make children of martyrs able and independent and families of martyrs should not consider them alone at any time.
CCPO Lahore, Addl IG Operations Punjab, DIGs with other many in service and ex service officers and officials were present at the occasion.
