Sharif family appeals for prayers
London (Pakistan Point News – 15th June, 2018) The wife of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif, Begum Kulsoom Nawaz, was shifted to intensive care unit (ICU) of a London hospital after her condition further deteriorated.
Sources said that Begum Kulsoom collapsed in the ICU after a cardiac arrest, and has not since regained consciousness. She has been kept on ventilator, life-support machine and emergency medicine.
She was taken to emergency unit last night as her condition deteriorated.
The Sharif family has requested everyone to pray for Kulsoom Nawaz’s health.
In a tweet on Friday, Maryam Nawaz wrote, “Ami had a sudden cardiac arrest this morning when we were on the flight & is in ICU & on the ventilator since. Earnest request for duas.”
Nawaz’s wife Kulsoom has been suffering from cancer. She was under treatment in a hospital in London. Nawaz and his daughter had not been able to stay with ailing Kulsoom in London due to the court hearings.
However, the two decided to spend EId-ul-Fitr in London with Kulsoom Nawaz and reached London via Doha on Thursday.
