Pandya built crucial partnerships including a 67-run eighth-wicket stand with Ravindra Jadeja to give the minnows a tough time after the hosts started the day on 347-6.
Fast bowler Yamin Ahmadzai struck early in the morning session to take his wicket tally to three. Fellow paceman Wafadar and spin sensation Rashid Khan took two wickets each.
