Five-day Anti-polio Campaign From July 2 In Peshawar

A five-day anti-polio vaccination campaign under the supervision of the district administration will begin on July 2, 2018.
PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 13th Jun, 2018 ) :A five-day anti-polio vaccination campaign under the supervision of the district administration will begin on July 2, 2018.
In this connection, a meeting held here with Deputy Commissioner (DC), Peshawar, Dr. Imran Hamid Sheikh in the chair. Those who attended were included Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC), Shahid Ali Khan, DDHO, Dr.
Ikhtiar, Dr. Anwar Jamal, DSP Police Shakeel Khan and others.
During the meeting the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Peshawar was briefed regarding polio campaign. During the campaign 2145 teams comprising of 3100 employees will carry door to door campaign will administer polio drops to children.
Police escort will accompany the teams for security purposes.
The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Peshawar has urged the parents to administer polio drops to their children, saying polio is such crippling disease that render a child disable for life.
He on this occasion also directed for taking all necessary steps including provision of security for the polio teams. He further directed polio teams for conducting completescrutiny of their respective areas. So no child remained without administeringpolio drops.
