Pakistan Women Hockey Team Arrived In Bangkok

Peshawar, (Pakistan Point News – 29th September, 2016) : Pakistan's national women team has arrived in Bangkok, Thailand to participate in the Asian Hockey Federation (AHF) Women Cup. National team will play under the captaincy of Hina Kanwal and vice captaincy of Rizwana Yasmin. Saeed Khan, who coached Pakistan's World Cup winning team of 1994, is the Manager and Chief Coach while the former national captain Usman Sheikh is the Coach. Team went through a month long training camp at the National Hockey Stadium, Lahore. Team will face Thailand, Uzbekistan, Chinese-Taipei. The two semi-finals will be played on 8 October and the final is scheduled on 9 October. According to a PHF media release issued on Wednesday, the top 2 teams of the AHF Cup would qualify for the Women's Asia Cup.
