Mahira Khan responds to Hamza Ali Abbasi’s tweet on Jemima

Hamza tweeted "In a world full of Gulalies and Rehams, be like Jemima Khan"

Islamabad (Pakistan Point News – 7th June, 2018) The book written by Imran Khan’s ex-wife Reham Khan has already got controversial as it has set mainstream and social media on fire.

Reham Khan has been trending on Twitter since actor-turned-journalist Hamza Ali Abbasi gave his review of Reham’s yet-to-be-launched book.

Hamza’s tweet sparked a new debate on media as to what Reham has written in the book about ex-husband Imran Khan and his close aides. Hence, Reham Khan’s book is not only a topic of discussion at home but also gaining attention outside of the country.

Imran’s first wife Jemima Goldsmith spoke on the matter and said, “On Reham Khan's book I've been assured that it's too libelous to be published in the UK but if it is published here, I will be suing for defamation & breach of privacy on behalf of my (then) 16 yr old son & in relation to the moronic, re-hashed Zionist conspiracy theories. Sigh.”

Hamza hailed Jemima’s tweet and complimented her, saying, “In a world full of Gulalies and Rehams, be like Jemima Khan.”

However, the tweet sounded a little sexist Jemima not only sets an example for women but for men as well.

Actress Mahira Khan also jumped into the controversy telling Hamza a better way to compare Jemima.

“How about - just be like Jemima Khan. Period. Sets a pretty good example for men and women both,” she said.

Last Friday, Hamza gave his review of the book penned down by Reham.

Abbasi in his tweet on Friday said, “Had a very unfortunate experience of reading a manuscript of Reham Khans book. Here is the summary: IK is the most evil man to walk the face of this planet. Reham is the most pious righteous (Tahajjud guzaar) woman ever and Shehbaz Sharif is an amazing guy!”

Following this, Reham was being widely criticized for her book on social media. This led to a new debate on social media that Reham is serving Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz’s agenda.

Reham then took to Twitter and revealed a threatening e-mail she received from Hamza Ali Abbasi wherein he says that Imran Khan has got some stuff which he can use against her.

Since then, there have been allegations and counter-allegations, making Reham Khan’s book a national issue.
