11 new digital services launched across municipalities of Abu Dhabi

(Pakistan Point News - 04th Jun, 2018) ABU DHABI, 4th June 2018 (WAM) - Saif Badr Al Qubaisi, General Manager of Abu Dhabi City Municipality cum Head of Technology Committee in the Department of Urban Planning and Municipalities, revealed that 11 new digital services have been launched across the municipalities of Abu Dhabi (Abu Dhabi City Municipality, Al Ain Municipality and Al Dhafra Municipality).

The step is part of a leading project aimed at digitalisation of public services with the aim of realising the vision of the Government and meeting the needs of clients as well as strategic partners.

"The new services include applications for opening a company account, constructing an entry/exit, obtaining a parking slot, constructing a service road, shifting services, and providing landfill. They also include permits for a temporary tent within the land boundaries, car shed within the residential land boundaries, house maintenance, raising a boundary wall, and opening a 1-meter wide door for the use of persons," said Al Qubaisi.

"The master digital transformation project across Abu Dhabi Municipalities is in implementation of the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and Chairman of the Executive Council. His Highness has stressed the importance of moving ahead with the digital drive, as the Government is keen on bringing happiness to people and offering ultra-modern and quick services to measure up to customer needs.

"Customers can avail the services through the link: (https://smarthub.adm.gov.ae). Before signing in for the services, customers have to register in the Smart Pass portal of the UAE. Any citizen who has an account on this portal can directly avail the 11 digital services on offer. "The use of digital services will cut the number of municipal clients by 100 thousand in the first year of the launch of the said digital services," added Al Qubaisi.

Customers can register through 10 centres affiliated to the Municipality: Marina Mall, Al Mushrif Mall, Mussaffah Center, Al Shahamah Center, Al Wathba Center, Bawabat Al Sharq Mall, Madinat Zayed Center, food Distribution Center - Al Moroor, and Food Distribution Center – Mussaffah. The services will also be available at Tas-heel Centers at Al Muroor Street, Al Jazira sports and Cultural Club, Al Khalidiya, Mussaffah, Marina Mall, Bawabat Al Sharq Mall, opposite to Qasr Al Hosn, Sheikh Rashid Bin Saeed Street (Airport), European American Medical Center building, Al Raha Mall, Capital Mall, Al Muroor Street opposite to Zayed City, Ministries District, and nearby Holiday Inn Hotel. Registration can also be made through 98 digital booths spreading in Abu Dhabi. The location of kiosks can be figured out through this link: (smartpass.government.ae).

"The Municipality is keen to deliver services to all parties. Though these digital services are meant for individuals, the Municipality is keen to broaden the scope of its services and has made them available to public and private organisations through a one-time registration in the Smart Hub. Then the approved representatives will be able to access the platform and avail all the services on offer. Therefore, the ADM calls on all public and private entities to register in the portal and have access to our integrated digital services.

"The Municipality is seeking to enhance the integration with all strategic partners with the aim of providing better services to customers. As part of the sharing of information platform made in coordination with the Smart Systems and Services Authority, it has therefore linked two new services to the platform before their expected date (search certificate and property certificate) such that they will be available in the portal as of May instead of August. This will help serving eighth government entities, namely: Abu Dhabi Housing Authority, Judiciary Department, Department of Finance, Department of education and Knowledge, GHQ of Abu Dhabi Police, Environment Agency - Abu Dhabi, Department of Culture and Tourism, and Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority. Such a link will enable clients to process their transactions in a smooth manner," he further added.

The Abu Dhabi City Municipality has designed the Smart Hub Platform with the aim of making it available for all clients in the three municipalities (Abu Dhabi, Al Ain and Al Dhafra). The Municipality has also revamped the smart services platform to fit the new services. The entire spectrum of the integrated digital services will have a considerable bearing on the response to customer needs and realising their aspirations.
