Lahore-bound PIA flight from Manchester avoids accident

PIA flight PK-710 was coming to Lahore from Manchester when a bird hit the plane during landing

Islamabad (Pakistan Point News – 2nd June, 2018) A Lahore-bound Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flight coming from Manchester avoided an accident on Saturday.

According to media reports, PIA flight PK-710 was coming to Lahore from Manchester when a bird hit the plane during landing.

The bird hit plane’s engine no. 1 which got damaged.

The pilot landed the plane safely with exceptional skill while the repair work of the engine was started right after.

PIA's expert engineers had given departure time of 1pm after the accident. The engineers said that the two parts of the engine were repaired after the bird collided.

No casualties were reported in the accident, according to Airport sources.
