DCO For Promoting Inter-faith Harmony

SARGODHA, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 27th Sep, 2016 ) : District Coordination Officer Danish Afzaal on Tuesday stressed the need for promoting inter-religion harmony to maintain peace during the month Moharram-ul-Haraam.

Addressing the participants of District Peace Committee meeting held here at conference Hall, he said that it was the religious obligation of ulemas to maintain peace and urged them to forge unity among their ranks as it was imperative to maintain peace in the society.

He said that it was dire need of the hour to foil nefarious designs of anti-state elements, added that sentiments of love and fraternity should be promoted among all sects.

The DCO said the district administration had been directed for the cleanliness of Muharram procession routes, arrangements of lighting and repair of roads.

The meeting was attended by DPO Muhammad Sohail Choudhry, DOC Altaf Hussain Ensai, and representatives of religious parties and members of peace committee.
