KP govt welcomes foreign investors to invest in potential sectors: CM

PESHAWAR, (Pakistan Point News - APP -26th Sep,2016) : Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pervez Khattak said KP Government would welcome foreign investors in the province to invest in potential sectors. Besides business friendly environment and attractive incentives, the facility of one-window-operation was also being provided to the investors in the province and an autonomous company EZDMC had already been established for the purpose. He said his government had introduced matchless reforms for efficient services.

He was talking to a delegation headed by member of National Assembly Sheharyar Khan Afridi here at CM House Peshawar on Monday. The delegation was also accompanied by Pakistan-origin member of Italian Parliament Aftab. On the occasion, Aftab revealed that Italian government wanted to invest in different sectors of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. A high powered delegation of Italian government would visit Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in this regard very soon, he added.

The Chief Minister said his government would facilitate Italian government for investment in the province. Feasibility studies for investment were also ready, he added. The members of the delegations told that Italian government was interested to invest in different sectors including schemes of drinking water. The Chief Minister while talking about his reforms agenda said his government had put the social sectors of the province on right track.

He said his government had devolved powers to gross root level in its real sense, empowering the people at lower tier of governance to make decisions for their own development. The Chief Minister also highlighted the reforms initiated in education sector of the province. He said despite limited resources, the educational budget had been increased up to Rs. 100 billion. 13 thousands schools out of 28 thousands were upgraded and missing facilities have been provided. He said more than 20,000 teachers were recruited in last two years while 10,000 more were being recruited in current financial year in order to overcome the shortage of teachers in government schools of the province.
