Threat alert issued for Lahore

Terrorists of banned militant outfit have entered Lahore along with suicide bombers

Lahore (Pakistan Point News – 19th May, 2018) The law enforcement agencies have been ordered to increase security in provincial capital in view of a threat alert issued for the city.

According to reports, terrorists along with suicide bombers have entered Lahore. The National Counter Terrorism Authority (NACTA) has informed the law enforcement agencies, including Punjab Home Secretary, Inspector General of Police, Pakistan Rangers Punjab DG, of the threat alert.

In a notification issued by NACTA, the lower wing of banned militant outfit has completed planning of an attack and has entered Lahore along with a suicide bomber. The terrorists can target sensitive buildings, foreign nationals and government officers.

The departments concerned have been directed to make security arrangements ahead of any threat of terror.

Sources said that security has been increased in the city by Punjab police and other law enforcement agencies after receiving the threat alert.
