Skardu, (Pakistan Point News - 18th May, 2018) : The police arrested three contractors of meat supply for creating artificial shortage of mutton and beef here on Friday. The people of Skardu city complaint about shortage of beef and mutton in market soon after the Holy month of Ramazan started. They alleged that the butchers and meat supply contractors wanted to increase the rates by creating the artificial shortage. SHO Muhammad Ilyas taking notice directed strict action and the police arrested three contractors identified as Syed Muhammad Ali Shah, Shaukat Ali and Muhammad Ayub. The SHO warned that any attempt to create artificial shortage of any commodity during the Holy month of Ramadan would be dealt with iron hands and smooth supply of daily use items to masses at the announced rates would be ensured.
