The Bollywood actress had died in February this year
Cannes (Pakistan Point News – 18th May, 2018) Indian film-maker received the award on Sridevi’s behalf at Cannes International Film Festival.
In a tweet on Thursday, Ghai said, “It was honour to receive award on behalf of legend Sridevi Boni Kapoor at Cannes Festival yesterday for her outstanding contribution in Indian cinema.”
He said that he also shared his experience with impeccable inimitable actor (Sridevi) to western audience.
Bollywood actress Sridevi suddenly died in February this year in a Dubai hotel while she was there to attend a wedding.
Cannes paid a special tribute to the late Bollywood diva with the Titan Reginald F Lewis Film Honours on Thursday which Subhash Ghai received on her behalf.
Cannes Film Festival, 2018 will conclude on May 19.
