District Govt To Launch Operation Against Illegal Constructions

PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th May, 2018 ) :District Nazim, Peshawar, Mohammad Asim Khan Wednesday said that a grand operation for the demolition of buildings constructed in violation of maps will be launched during the month of Ramzan and non leniency will be shown with any in this regard.
He was speaking during separate meetings with BCA Town-1 and BCA Town-2 here. Besides, chairman District Council committee on BCA, Asif Khan and staff of the BCAs of the Town.1 and 2 attended the meeting.
The meeting reviewed 34 commercial maps received by both towns in detailed and eleven those fulfilling the rules and regulations were approved. The chairman, District Council BCA committee told the district nazim that they had submitted applications with different police stations for taking action against the owners of the buildings constructed in violation of maps.
However, no action has been taken by them so far.
The district nazim expressed strong anguish over police for not taking against the owners of the buildings constructed in violation of map and not extending cooperation with Building Control Authority (BCA).
He issued a dispatch to the Inspector General of Police (IGP) for registration of FIRs against the owners of the illegal buildings and their demolition. He also directed the constitution of special squad and taking against those not using the basements of the buildings for parking purposes.
He also directed the preparation of the lists and beside maps also termed the photos of the empty plots. Addressing the participants of the meeting, the district nazim said that for the maintaining of the flow of traffic the construction of building according to the maps is the need of the hour, which will be implemented in letter and spirit.
