Islamabad, (Pakistan Point News - 13th May, 2018) : The traders of sector G-10 Markaz Islamabad have urged the Capital Development Authority (CDA) to focus on carpeting of roads in said sector. A delegation of Traders Welfare Association (TWA), G-10 Markaz Islamabad, led by its President Syed Kamran Kaka Khel and Secretary General Sardar Abid Yousaf visited Islamabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry (ICCI) on Sunday and highlighted the key issues of their market in order to seek the support of ICCI for their urgent redress.
Addressing the delegation, President ICCI Sheikh Amir Waheed stressed that CDA should focus on carpeting of roads in G-10 Markaz as the condition of roads in market was quite pathetic. He said that CDA has not done any development work in markets for the last many years due to which the traders were facing problems in promoting business activities. The President ICCI stressed that CDA should focus on addressing key issues of G-10 Markaz and undertake developmental works all major markets on priority basis so that businessmen could feel facilitated in promoting business activities.
He said that trade and industry was facing many difficulties from CDA including renewal of leases, transfer of plots and completion certificates of buildings. He informed the TWA G-10 Markaz that ICCI was considering to evolve a new strategy in consultation with market unions for resolution of key issues of business community related to CDA. Sheikh Amir Waheed said that CDA laws needed amendment as the current laws were a major hurdle in the development of markets and city.
He assured that Chamber would fully cooperate with G-10 Markaz for serving the cause of traders. Syed Kamran Kaka Khel President and Sardar Abid Yousaf General Secretary, Traders Welfare Association, G-10 Markaz, Islamabad speaking at the occasion said that lack of carpeting of roads was major problem of G-10 Markaz and stressed that CDA should arrange carpeting in Markaz on urgent basis. They said that the civic body has not done any development work in the market for the last 6-7 years due to which the roads, footpaths, streetlights and other facilities were in deteriorated condition.
They emphasized that CDA should start development works in G-10 Markaz and other markets on urgent basis so that business activities could flourish in the Federal capital. Vice President ICCI Nisar Mirza, Khalid Chaudhry, Ahsan Zafar Bakhtawari, Muhammad Hussain, Raja Abdul Majeed, Dildar Abbasi, Sheikh Awais, Syed Adil Anis, Ashfaq Hussain Chatha and others also spoke at the occasion and called upon CDA to focus on developmental works in markets in order to facilitate the growth of business activities.
