The University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences Lahore organised concluding ceremony of a weeklong training on “Mapping of DVM Curriculum for OIE Compliance and Integrated Learning Interventions”

LAHORE (Pakistan Point News - 12th May, 2018 ) The University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences Lahore organised concluding ceremony of a weeklong training on “Mapping of DVM Curriculum for OIE Compliance and Integrated Learning Interventions”. It was conducted under the project of “In-service Training Facility of Advance Veterinary Education and Professional Development for Veterinary Professionals” funded by Punjab Government here at city campus Lahore.

UVAS Vice-Chancellor Meritorious Prof Dr Talat Naseer Pasha presided over the concluding session of the training and distributed certificates among participants and resource persons while Dean Faculty of Biosciences Prof Dr Habib-ur-Rehman, Associate Professor Dr Hafsa Zaneb and a number of participants of training were present on the occasion. In his address to the audience, VC Dr Pasha said that UVAS is establishing veterinary teaching academy for the capacity building of faculty and students.

He also lauded the organizers to arrange such an informative training for the uplift of veterinary education. Many aspects discussed during weeklong training regarding DVM curriculum including local wisdom and global compliance requirements, curricula relevance with field challenges, curricular alignment through blueprinting, why, what and how of modular integrated curriculum, case-based learning (CBL), stress management and academic publishing in veterinary science ethical issues, etc.
