The University of Veterinary & Animal Sciences (UVAS), Lahore has been ranked among 351+ universities in Times Higher Education (THE) Emerging Economies University Rankings 2018

LAHORE (Pakistan Point News - 11th May, 2018 ) The University of Veterinary & Animal Sciences (UVAS), Lahore has been ranked among 351+ universities in Times Higher Education (THE) Emerging Economies University Rankings 2018. After qualifying in QS Asia University Ranking and attaining the position among 301-350 top Asian Universities by Times Higher Education (THE) Asia University Ranking 2018 it is another momentous achievement of the UVAS, Lahore.

Institutions from 50 countries, classified as emerging economies (advanced and secondary) or “frontier economies” were considered in the analysis. The ranking uses same 13 rigorous performance indicators as the THE World University Rankings, examining each university’s strengths against all of its core missions: teaching, research, knowledge transfer and international outlook. However, methodology has been carefully recalibrated to better reflect the characteristics and development priorities of the universities in emerging economies.

More weight is given to a university’s industry links and international outlook. UVAS, Lahore is continuously stepping forward on the journey of excellence and providing quality in education and research under the great leadership of Vice-Chancellor Meritorious Prof Dr Talat Naseer Pasha. Placement of UVAS, Lahore in this ranking of best research-led universities among the emerging economy nations is another great milestone achieved through untiring efforts of Quality Enhancement Cell with support of senior management and faculty members of the university. The VC Prof Dr Talat Naseer Pasha congratulated all the stakeholders of the university including faculty, administration and students on this significant recognition of UVAS and hoped that the journey of progress and development in higher education will continue with zeal and zest.
